Take advantage of the newest operating system from Apple – available today!

OS X Lion is available for download in the Mac App Store starting today. If you want to get your hands on Lion – and more than 250+ new features – here’s what you need to do:

Step 1 – Check your processor

Your Mac must have an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor to run Lion. Find out if your current Mac has one of these processors by clicking the Apple icon at the top left of your screen, then choosing About This Mac.

Step 2 – Upgrade your memory if needed

Lion needs at least 2GB of memory (RAM). For best results, we recommend at least 4GB or even more, if your Mac will support it. Read more about the benefits of more memory. MacSolutions Plus can upgrade the memory in your Mac for a very affordable price – just contact us for details.

Step 3 – See if you have enough hard drive space

To install Lion, you’ll need at least 4GB of free space on your hard drive. Keep in mind that your hard drive may start to slow down once you have less than 20% of the space available. Read more about hard drives and upgrades here. MacSolutions Plus can upgrade your hard drive and give you the space you need – just contact us for details.

Step 4 – Get the latest version of Snow Leopard

You’ll need to get up to date with the latest version of OS X Snow Leopard to purchase OS X Lion from the Mac App Store. If you have Snow Leopard, click the Apple icon and choose Software Update to install version 10.6.8.

Step 5 – Download OS X Lion from the Mac App Store.

Just use the link at the bottom of our home page or click here to buy and download OS X Lion for just $29.99, then follow the onscreen instructions to install Lion. This is the first time you’ll be able to upgrade your operating system right through the App Store – without any discs. Just click, buy the upgrade, and your Mac does the rest.
