Garret Cleversley
MacDaddy, President / CEO
Everyone who loves optimizing networks, raise your hand. See that guy with his hand up? That’s Garret. He’ll give it to you straight – whether it’s a new product review or the news that you lost all your great-grandmother’s recipes when your hard drive crashed. Even though he’s the big boss man, he’s still out there making house calls, running the store (check ‘em out on Facebook), and keeping thousands of Mac users happy. And, of course, he’s earned every Apple certification available (and a few that we think he made up). When he’s not putting out metaphorical fires for his clients, you’ll find Garret putting out real ones as an award-winning volunteer with the Newstead Fire Company, or watching the sunrise from his deer stand.
Shawna Cleversley
Mac Vice Principle
Garret didn’t just convince Shawna to marry him, change her last name to Cleversley and bear their children. In 1990, he actually got her to leave her cushy law firm job and help start MacSolutions Plus, because who needs a steady paycheck when you can sleep with the boss instead? Today, Shawna is a part-time Mac commander and full-time mom who loves to watch reality TV, shuttle their kids back and forth to hockey, and have a few quiet minutes to herself each day. Which, as any working mom knows, happens all the time.
Katie Sadewater
Mac Stage Manager and Apple Product Professional
Kate was literally lost before she discovered Macs. We discovered her on our doorstep one Monday morning, holding a “Windows for Dummies” book and repeating the words, “Control, Alt, Delete” over and over and over again. Since that fateful morning in 2008, Katie has spent every waking moment learning about Macs. Well, except for when she’s watching a hockey game (not the Leafs), going to a concert (not country), or eating MORE SUGAR!!!
Jennifer Wilger
Store Lead
Before joining the staff here at MacSolutions Plus, Jennifer spent 15 years in the wireless industry, working for both Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile. But her heart is with Apple, thanks to the iPhone (“the best phone I’ve used so far,” she says), and her lightning-fast MacBook Pro. Now that she’s converted her whole family to Mac users, she enjoys working with customers in the store, showing them how easy it is to use a Mac, and helping them decide which Mac, iPad or Apple accessory is right for them. Jennifer is a former volunteer firefighter and EMT who enjoys traveling in her spare time.
Dustin Sutton
Technician
Dustin is an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician and long-time Apple fan, having used them for more than a decade before coming to work at MacSolutions Plus. He typically owns at least three Macs at any one time, and enjoys using his ninja-like tech skills to help people get more out of their favorite machine. When he’s not at the front counter (or, more likely, back at the repair bench), Dustin can be found exploring his creative side through graphic design work, going fishing, and spending time with his family.
Chris March
Technician
Chris comes to MacSolutions Plus after working as Lead Genius in a Rochester-area Apple Store. March has sold and serviced Apple computers for more than a decade, and has personally owned dozens of Macs dating back to some of Apple’s earliest desktop machines. He lives with his wife and children in Batavia, where he enjoys golfing, learning Mandarin Chinese, and following the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and Canisius College hockey.
Dave Gardner
Apple Product Professional
Dave helped us with the grand opening of the Eastern Hills Mall store in 2010, and we’re thrilled to have him back working at MacSolutions Plus. Like everyone here at the store, he “loves Apple’s quality,” and is excited to be working with customers and associates who feel the same way about Macs. Dave grew up in South Buffalo, and now lives just a few miles away in Lackawanna with his wonderful wife and daughter.
Jason Keding
Technician
Prior to joining the MacSolutions Plus team, Jason spent five years as an Assistant Store Manager for the Apple Store in Syracuse, where he oversaw all in-store operations. Jason is a huge Mac fan – he has owned everything from a 1st gen iPhone (released the day his daughter was born) to a 13” MacBook Pro – and even named both of his dogs after Macs. Next time you see Jason, ask him about his Apple sticker philosophy – or the time he got to visit the Mothership in Cupertino. As Jason says, “What isn’t there to love about Apple?” We couldn’t agree more.
Connor Janis
Apple Product Professional
He may still be a teenager, but Connor has a lifetime of experience when it comes to using Macs, having started off playing with an Apple IIci when he was just three years old. Today, Connor enjoys “being able to expose people to the wonders of Apple products.” As the owner of an iMac, iPod Touch, iPad and iPhone, Connor can help answer nearly any questions that our customers may have, and enjoys showing them how Apple helps people “worry less about important things they would have to do manually – and usually painfully – on other devices.” When he’s not in the store (or on his Mac), you can often find Connor watching the Sabres or Bills, playing soccer, or being the “Student Mac-ministrator” at his school.
