Earlier this week, we were proud to help support the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County at their annual Day of Caring. Shawna Cleversley – VP of MacSolutions Plus – took her kids down to First Niagara Center for an event sponsored by the Buffalo Sabres and Perry’s Ice Cream.

At First Niagara Center, Shawna and the kids worked with 200 other volunteers to fill 4,000 backpacks with school supplies. These backpacks will be distributed to 9th graders in Buffalo schools, whose parents can’t afford supplies for school. Each bag also received a personalized card with words of encouragement for students facing the upcoming school year. “It’s not a lot of time out of our life,” said Shawna, “but it can really make a difference for those kids.”
