iWork for MavericksYou’ve heard that Apple made iWork available to customers for free when they purchase a new Mac
computer or iOS 7 compatible device.

Seriously?

Yep.

You get the apps in iWork – Pages, Numbers and Keynote – for FREE when you buy any new Mac, iPad, iPod touch or iPhone. Head to the Mac App Store and locate iWork. You will find a “Download” or “Update” button instead of a “Purchase” button.

These apps are available for both OS X and iOS. The new Mac versions are Pages 5.0, Numbers 3.0, and Keynote 6.0, requiring OS X Mavericks.

The iOS versions are all 2.0 and require iOS 7 or later.

If you own iWork ’09 – even if you didn’t buy it through the App Store – you should be able to download the latest version for free. If you don’t see the free upgrade option in the App Store, try logging out of the App
Store, then log in again – it should be there, now. (If you don’t own iWork ’09, you may have to purchase it.)
