Go big or go home.

That seemed to be the theme of the Apple event held in Cupertino, California yesterday. Sure, there have been leaks for weeks on what new products would be introduced, but Apple really outdid themselves this time.

What exactly happened during this 120-minute presentation? Here’s a quick recap:

Not just one, but TWO iPhones were introducedthe iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. And, if we might say so ourselves, they’re pretty awesome. First things first, they’re BIGGER. The iPhone 6 is equipped with a 4.7inch screen and the 6 Plus has a 5.5 inch screen. You can pre-order them starting September 12, and they’ll be available nationwide on September 19. Learn more about the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus here.

Apple Pay. To put it simply – no more wallet. No more credit cards. No more bulkiness. Apple is making the experience entirely electronic and they’re getting hundreds of thousands of stores involved. You’re probably wondering how it’s even possible – find out all the details about Apple Pay on Apple’s website. Apple Pay will be pre-loaded on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and will be available as a free update to iOS 8.

Apple Watch. Have you ever wanted a watch that had the ability to answer phone calls, respond to emails, listen to music, track activity, and even share your heartbeat with someone? That’s what Apple Watch does – and so much more. It’s entirely customizable as well. From the strap you wear to the actual watch face. Apple says it will start at $349. We can’t wait until it’s released in early 2015.

As if that wasn’t enough, U2 took the stage. Then, Apple CEO, Tim Cook, and U2 lead singer, Bono, announced that U2’s new album, Songs of Innocence, was available for free to all iTunes users. That’s over 500 million users. Thus, making it “the largest album release of all time.”

Holy cow.

If that wasn’t a jam-packed two hours – then we don’t know what is! We hope that you’re as excited about Apple’s new products as we are. If you have any questions – stop in and see us at the Eastern Hills Mall.
